Our Story

Discover Who We Are

Our mission at Red Line Landworx is to provide professional and reliable land clearing services to property owners in the Texas Hill Country.

When you combine a Firefighter and a Retired Christian School Administrator, you end up with business owners of integrity and a strong work ethic that enjoy helping people. The idea and concept of a Father/Son business was years in the making and earlier in 2022 this dream became a reality with the launch of RLL. This is a booming industry and we wanted to bring our experience and desire in serving others to a business that would ensure projects are done right! We love the outdoors, big machinery, and especially making our landowners happy. For a trustworthy team that you can depend on to get the job done the way you want it, allow us the opportunity to help you with your next land management project.

Red Line Landworx covers a large area of the Texas Hill Country. We are based out of Comal County, Texas and cover a large majority of the Texas Hill Country. According to the US Census, Comal County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. The need for growth and expansion is plentiful, and as much as we are a land clearing company, we believe in selective clearing. This allows us to maintain the beautiful area that we live and work in, all while providing new housing opportunities to our vastly growing area.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Red Line Landworx?

Red Line Landworx is a firefighter-owned and operated land clearing and land management company located in the North San Antonio Texas Hill Country. Our CEO, Kyle Thompson, is a full-time career firefighter and entrepreneur who saw deficits in an industry that needed to be fixed. After officially going into business and partnering with our COO, Brig Thompson (his Dad) in early 2022, Red Line Landworx is looking forward to a busy 2023.

  • What area do you service?

We cover a large 20,000+ square mile radius of the Texas Hill Country, so, chances are high that if you’re needing land clearing, we’re the land clearing guys you’ll want to call.

  • What are your lead times?

Our lead times do vary, but a good average is 2-4 weeks. Occasionally we have cancellations, so, if you need something quick, give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.

  • Do you guys have the ability to use heavy machinery like excavators and dozers?

Yes, we do. We’re primarily in the “selective clearing” industry and focus on smaller intricate jobs as our bread and butter, but we can handle large jobs that require even more specialized equipment.

  • What is Rock Crushing?

Rock crushing using a skid steer refers to the process of using a compact, versatile, and maneuverable skid steer loader equipped with an attachment to crush rocks into smaller pieces or gravel. This can be done for construction, road building, and other applications. Skid steer rock crushers are typically less expensive and more portable than larger rock-crushing machines, making them a popular choice for smaller operations and use in remote locations. The cost of rock crushing with a skid steer varies depending on the type of rock being crushed.

  • What is Mulching?

This method of land clearing involves using a machine called a mulcher, which shreds vegetation into small pieces, which can then be left on the site to decompose or used as a soil amendment. Mulching is considered a more environmentally friendly method of land clearing as it does not involve burning or heavy machinery, and can be used to clear cedar trees and other brush.

  • What is Tree Pulling?

Another method of land clearing in this area is “tree pulling.” This method involves using heavy equipment, such as a skid steer or excavator, to physically pull the tree out of the ground by the root. This method is more effective for larger trees and can be used to clear cedar trees along with other trees.

  • How long have you been in business?

RLL was officially launched in early 2022. We’re quickly approaching our first anniversary!

  • How much does your black skid steer weight?

Our CAT 299D3 XE fully equipped with the land management package, comes in around 14,000 pounds, without an attachment. When fully loaded, we typically haul nearly 15 tons daily. (and just in case you were wondering, YES, we DO have our CDL…)
